Tones are very bright, most notably during the dance numbers, and impressed me. Color tones are all over the place (in a good way, obviously) and it never interferes with another color. Since there are numerous, fantastic choreographed dance numbers, it really lights up on the Blu-ray screen. Usher OMG Tour LIve From London is presented in 1080i (1.78:1). There are 19 tracks featured here, and they go as follows: However, for any fan, this is a must buy. If you are in no way familiar with this artist, it’s a rental. This is a pretty short concert (unlike some other concert Blu-ray’s I reviewed in the past), and there is a certain amount joy watching this talented man wooing a large audience, yet I cannot find myself giving this a proper recommendation. Usher seems to have more of a female following based on the thousands of female audience members in the audience and the few gentlemen. I feel as if I should give a recommendation, as hard as it may seem. Usher is ambiguously provocative in his stylish type of entertainment, but pays off in the overall satisfaction of the viewer. Although these songs are so undeniably catchy, the music itself speaks as a joke to the greats like Led Zepplin and The Beatles (both fantastic bands that serve as REAL music). Not only is he a great live singer, he is a pretty fantastic dancer! Okay, on to the flaws, which are, in fact, the lyrics to the song. He’s a great live singer, unlike Taylor Swift (don’t get me started on that subject). Hell, I’d go so far as to say he sounds a bit like Michael Jackson at that point! I’m just saying, if he was in my choir class, he would definitely be one hell of a tenor (or maybe HIGH baritone, you never know). Right around the eighteen minute mark, you’ll know what I’m talking about. More importantly, he has one of the best falsetto’s that I’ve ever heard from an artist. While I would not classify this as “real music”, I can see why this guy has a following. Didn’t know quick changing was apart of the business! About 10 seconds after the song ends, he disappears for literally five seconds, comes back, and his entire outfit is changed. It is not an easy task singing in front of a live audience, and Usher handles it with great dexterity. I was happy that he started singing Yeah after that. Pretty awkward if you ask me, but when you see how hard this guy works and how much he sweats, it’s understood. Early in the concert, the ENTIRE concert room becomes quiet, and Usher… Well takes his shirt off. Some of the stuff put into this film was made solely for women to awe at. If you are a fan of Usher, this is a must-buy. I quite enjoyed Usher OMG Tour, I didn’t find it too irritating (aside from a few songs towards the end) and the film had really good technical aspects about it, which I’ll get into soon. I found his music almost as annoying as hearing the Black Eyed Peas singing Boom Boom Pow for the hundredth damn time. Aside from the catchy song Yeah, I have never been a huge fan of Usher. Immediately after, his first song entitled Monstar plays, followed by an astounding, very well-choreographed dance number. Usher OMG Tour Live From London opens with a black screen, where multi-million dollar R’n’B artist Usher is praying to some sort of bible passage.
